The state agency that receives and investigates complaints concerning employment (and housing) discrimination in violation of both state and federal law. Its comprehensive website includes links to the text of statutes, regulations, forms, and guidelines.

The United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC)
The Federal agency whose jurisdiction is most similar to that of MCAD. Its website includes an excellent summary of “Discrimination by Type: Facts and Guidance.”

The United States Department of Justice
The United States Department of Justice maintains a website that provides an overview of other federal civil rights laws relating to employment discrimination.

Wage and Hour Poster
Summarizes the laws concerning prompt payment of wages, overtime, child labor, etc. Provided by the Massachusetts Attorney General website.
